Can't start my day without some coffee

I'm a 29 year old single mom to an adorable, sweet, too smart for her own good 6 year old daughter Lorelai. I have been a Beachbody coach and fitness instructor for 18 months. My journey started like many, with a challenge group. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's rewind 6 years.

I had an 8 month old daughter and a relationship that I was not happy in. After much thought, I moved myself and Lorelai to my mother's house and took residence on the the couch for the next 2 years. I was working a job that paid $25K with zero health insurance and was completing my B.A. I literally felt stuck, relying on help from literally EVERYONE! Once I finished my B.A. I was blessed with the opportunity to join a biotech pharmaceutical research company. The money was good, the commute SUCKED (50 miles one way) and the ability to start putting money aside to move out of my mothers and find a place of my own. In February 3 years later I bought my own HOUSE!!!

Holy CRAP I am a single parent and a homeowner. So what is the WORST possible thing that could happen? Getting laid off! almost 2 year after I purchased my home my company got bought out. The timing couldn't have been worse, it was weeks before Lorelai's 5th birthday and Christmas. Luckily, I had a severance but after taxes it wouldn't support me for long. So, while looking for a job, I went to visit my bff in Pottstown,PA. She had a bag of Shakeology and said it was helping her with nutrition and tasted good. She gave me her cousin's information. After long emails and figuring out if spending $180 was a wise financial choice, I joined a challenge group. for the next 30 days I jumped, sprinted, push-upped, dug deep and fueled my body. But the physical results were not what really changed me, it was the passion and motivation the challenge group provided.

I contacted my coach and said "I wanna do what you are doing". I jumped in feet first with zero clue. I purchased program after program, truly becoming a product of the product. I learned that consistency, passion and determination were all I needed to reach my personal goals. I began running challenge groups on Facebook and then I heard about the AMAZING opportunity to become an Insanity Certified Instructor! Holy cow, I can teach something I am passionate about, connect with people and make more money! SOLD! I participated in the FIRST certification course in the MD, VA, DC region and began teaching immediately. 

~~~MAJOR SET BACK~~~
While training for my first half marathon in 2013 I started experiencing excruciating pain in my left foot. It swelled, I could barely put weight on it which put running out the picture. For the next 6 MONTHS I was in a lovely walking boot! No running, no impact exercising, limited teaching with no improvement. Than the day came when I heard what I was dreading: SURGERY! But as my mother said, temporary set back for long-term gain. 10 days bed-ridden, and 6 weeks later I was approved to begin exercising again! Woohoo! 

Now I get up everyday at 5:30, get my "Me Time" in so I can start my day on a positive note.

Recognition for ranking Emerald

I'll be 100% honest I was immediately successful. Starting a new job and a Beachbody business takes TREMENDOUS discipline (even for someone like me who doesn't struggle with time management). I constantly told my coach i could not be pushed, that I would do this when I was ready. I knew what my "why" was (she's pretty cute, isn't she?) but I hadn't quite grasped what this business could do for me. Once I started investing in my business I quickly learned. In July 2013 I rank advanced to an Emerald coach and I was ECSTATIC!!! 
 

 So what did Emerald coaching do for me in one word... CONFIDENCE! I was finally beginning to feel relateable to others. I then developed my "why" statement and put it into a snappy little video >>>

It wasn't until November 2013, less than 1 year in the business that I hit my next milestone... DIAMOND! What an AMAZING accomplishment! I am growing a team that is PASSIONATE and DEDICATED to helping others reach goals while building their own freedom!
